Feeling ridiculously, fraudulently, healthy this morning, thanks to a big breakfast and M & S fruit drinks. Still in the Rugby Cottage Hospital, with hopes of moving north very soon. Truly overwhelmed by the care and kindness I have been shown…

Medication...
The nightime went more quicky, with medication: no more staring at the point where the wall meets the ceiling. Today might be Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday - Thursday at a pinch - and I may be back in North Yorkshire by the end of the week...

Resistance is futile...
Having endured a punishment beating, from a gang of off-duty nurses, I've been moved a few miles down the road to Rugby Cottage Hospital. Here till Monday, before heading back to Yorkshire...
Another move...
I've been moved to another room: OK apart from the screaming in the night (not mine). Feeling well but a bit stymied. A quick weekend move, for me and my baggage, would be good (I'm feeling very well)...
My nominal ‘three months of active life’; are being eaten up a day at a time.
I feel fit to move, asap, and would be happier to hear the curlews calling from Wether Fell than my bed-fellows screaming in the night…

Slippers...
The bad news: it’s terminal. The good news: John has been able to sell his sliippers to the guy in the next bed...

Visiting times...
A message from Chas, John Morrison’s son. John is in Coventry Hospital being treated for a tumour. Chas lives in Coventry and visits often. The hospital address is Clifford Bridge Road, Coventry, CV2 2DX. Tel: 02476964000.
There is no phone network there, but John can use Wifi. His WhatsApp number is +447941630420. Email is clawpork@gmail.com
Formal visiting hours are between 2 and 8pm, but John is happy to receive visitors and the hours seem quite flexible. So you can come early, should be fine. John likes grapes. But please come even if you are not carrying grapes.
He is not in pain. He is in hospital for a procedure. He is lucid and hasn’t lost his sense of humour. It appears he does like hospital food.

Falling...
Two falls yesterday. They happen so fast - with no warning - leaving me bruised and disorientated…

A welcome break...
I feel like I’ve been beaten up – regularly, expertly, so the bruises don’t show. So it feels very good to take a break from the trauma of stumbles and tumbles for a short while, as I try to re-orientate myself. Thank you to Chas and Dasha for making this possible.
